Intel is discontinuing the Curie and the Curie-enabled Arduino 101. This has devastated developers who have based products on the Curie, but others are still unaware of the news, which has been released via obscure channels.

In a sudden, but not entirely surprising, move Intel has announced the discontinuation of its IoT boards - Edison, Galileo and Joule. The last of these devices will be supplied at the end of 2017.

The Tinker Board is the Asus competitor to Raspberry Pi. After a shaky start when it first appeared in the UK Asus now seems to got its act together.  With the US launch this month Tinker Board is supported by an improved website and is now a serious contender in the IoT single board market,
